I really hope to get enough training in this month to compete!
Juggling school, work, sisters wedding and my wedding is a full time gig :( |

Isn't it nice that they call the "old guy" division the "masters" division.
Even better is that it is for 30+.
I feel a Mid-mid life crisis coming on. |

you think that's bad, I was reading something on BJJ tournaments & some have a "senior" division which is 40+
How does that make you oldies feel!
p.s. want more interest! who's going to compete?
I'm going to do Beginner up to 191lbs w/ Gi
as well as Beginner up to 186lbs w/ No Gi _________________ Big Tommy! |

Let's train hard for this.
If you plan on competing, make yourself available to as many GI classes as possible.
For those that are not competing, our expectation is that you are donating your time to be a valued training partner.
Time to whoop some ass via GI!!! |

|
|
Mike M. brought up the idea of carpooling to the tournament, which makes sense right?
if you pre-register you don't have to be there early, adult devisions start at 12 so we should probably roll in around 11-11:30ish.
I'm thinking we should meet up at BAMA for say 10:30-10:45ish, leave once we have all our soldiers rounded up.
Please respond if you're interested in joining said car pool as well as which day.
I'll be in for both Saturday & Sunday, I'll drive one of the two days, or both if needed?
REMEMBER: If you're not pre-registering you've got to be there early, how early? I don't know, pre-registration made/makes life easy. _________________ Big Tommy! |

| If you're all pre registered get there for 12:00 at the earliest!! Its a very long day with lots of waiting around, try to eliminate any extra sitting around time |

I have just recived a call from phil.
Phil has placed first for his division. He had 2 fights. won both by submission. arm bar and teleephone lock.
Troy has faught he won his first fight. and lost his second by submission to a very tough dude.
We are still waiting for the rest of the team to fight.
Good luck guys

everyone did amazing, and everyone showed great heart today.
Tommy, Phil and Big John all won their divisions, and last I heard we were second in team points behind Gracie Barra, which is excellent considering that we didnt have a lot of people competing.
everyone hold your head up high today who competed from our club, we definitely represented very well. _________________ He who ha ha's last, ha ha's best

| Yep, great job guys! Will have to check on the overall points because BAMA was only 1 or 2 points out of first. |
